Every time you do something that don’t want to do, you dim your light and get a little further away from yourself.
I’m not talking about the things that need doing like bills, tending to your children or elderly or sick.
I’m talking about the times you say “yes” because you are afraid to say “no”
Afraid you will be judged or challenged or that you will let someone down so instead you let yourself down.
Afraid of who you might have to be in order to show up as the person who has what you want.
The times you put off what you want and tell yourself that you can wait.
The times you take on too much, give too much, miss out and stay silent too often and run around like a headless chicken all because you are afraid to say:
🚫That you don’t want to.
🚫That it doesn’t work for you.
🚫That it would bring you stress, wear you out, bring you down.
🚫That you’re tired and full and overwhelmed and just done.
Every time you choose someone else’s happiness over your own you lose parts of yourself and you dull your shine a little more.
⚡Making space for more of what you want is not an indulgence it’s a necessity.
⚡Saying “no” can be the most courageous act of self love.
⚡Making yourself unavailable for anything that doesn’t spark your soul is the ultimate act of self respect.
No more settling.
No more waiting.
No more regretting.
You do not need to exchange your desires for someone else’s expectations. 💯
